To protect their citizens and make travel easier, the European Union is considering implementing a COVID-19 vaccine passport. Among other EU countries, the Czech Republic is also planning to use a digital health pass for its citizens. President Miloš Zeman criticized Minister of Health, Jan Blatný, and director of the State Institute for Drug Control (SÚKL), Irena Storová, because they actively prevent the approval of the Sputnik V vaccine in the Czech Republic. The government is expecting to receive the first 9,750 doses of COVID-19 vaccine by the end of the month, equally distributed between Prague and Brno according to ČVS (Czech Vaccinology Society).
