I know, there are many articles out there claiming to know the best burgers joints in Prague. But after a few years living in the city and being a mega-burger fan, I’ve tried and tested a handful of different places to share my few favourite spots with you.

When you’re in the mood for a huge juicy burger, don’t even think twice and head on down to Bejzment. This joint definitely knows how to bring out the best in a burger and to start up an addiction to the average burger-goer. Don’t say you haven’t been warned. The only thing is that you should call in advance to make a reservation, just to ensure that you can get a seat. Many people are starting to pick up on this place so it’s extremely hard to get a seat unless you’ve already claimed it beforehand.

What to get? I usually always dive in and get the BIG TEKS. What’s in it? It’s a juicy and tender beef patty with cheddar cheese, guacamole, fried onion rings and BBQ sauce all over it. If that doesn’t make your mouth water then I don’t know what will. You can also order their onion rings on the side — yes it’s delicious, warm, and crunchy.

Don’t worry though, I’ve taken many friends here and eaten here quite a few times and no matter what burger you choose, you can’t go wrong. Every burger seems to be made into perfection and they even come with a branded stamp on the bun for you to take a photo of once it arrives. So for all you Instagram lovers, you’re in luck!

I first heard about this joint when I was working outside of Prague in a nearby city called Beroun. That’s where there original Black Dog is and people have sworn on their lives that this was the best burger place in the Czech Republic. So, of course, I had to try and in Prague too. The wait is kind of long but the burger is not bad at all and definitely does deserve to be ranked amongst the top.

What to get? I can say I’m a big fan of their BlackDog Cheeseburger (180 ground beef burger with gouda, lettuce, tomato, red onion, herb mayonnaise, and ketchup). You’ve gotta order the fries on the side, but of course, it’s a well worth it combination.

Where are they located? Near Karlovo Namesti. Check out the address and info below:

This place seems to be completely off the radar and unknown. Hidden on a side street near Karlovo Namesti, this cute underground joint is the sacred cooking grounds for one of the most consistently delicious burgers I’ve had in my life.

The first time I’ve had their burger I automatically knew this would be #1 on my burger list — nothing else can compare.

What do I get? Their god sent cheeseburger. That’s it. The meat is so tender I don’t know how they are able to do it so well and consistent each time. It truly just falls apart in your mouth. The entire composition of this cheeseburger seems to have been calculated somehow and the result is just pure perfection. There is nothing more to put and you will just have to try it and see for yourself.

What makes this cheeseburger even better is their fries. It’s definitely homemade and in a triangular shape. I feel that this triangular shape is somehow tied into the calculation of this perfect recipe because this shape allows the fries to be completely crispy on the outside yet steamy, soft and potato-ey on the inside. God it makes me so hungry just writing about it. Just try it. Any day of the week except for Mondays.
