The Globe Bookstore is the right place to go if you like to enjoy the night with your friends or just on your own. There is no place quite like the Globe Bookstore in Prague; there is no better place to spend your night out or even your day. This place has its own distinct atmosphere. It is full of inspiration and positive energy and is a great place for meet-ups, as well as being a great place for my writing. They have program full of great activities, not just for foreigners or English-speaking people. Warm energy welcomes you at the door, so you come inside with a beautiful feeling already — even those times when you might come here on your own for their amazing brunches. Oh man, their brunches are just to die for! From Belgian waffles with maple syrup to scrambled eggs to their delicious sandwiches, it’s all tasty! I love their Caesar wrap! I got used to it in Ireland, as the Irish also serve wraps with French fries or crisps, and it’s the same here. One of the best American places I’ve been to does it the same way, in fact. Ok, one point for you guys!

Another point goes to their events. You can find many events happening here. There is a lot to choose from, but their karaoke night is one of the best. Spending your night with your friends or just sharing your positive energy with the others? Of course! Saturday night, here we go! This place is near Karlovo Náměstí, nearby the city center, and has a cozy atmosphere and songs to cheer you up! With so many other singers, no one laughs at you, but if you are a bit afraid, I recommend drinking some beer first. Really, it’s often full, so I recommend that you make a reservation in advance.

This event starts at 7pm, but it can be really busy and full of singers, good or not. And everyone is having a great time! There is an awesome girl running this event; she is from the States, but living in Prague. This energetic person gives the event a necessary warm and positive atmosphere.

Are you really brave enough? If not, no worries! Take a drink or two and you will be ok; the event gets busy around 10PM or even 11PM when people had enough beer/wine to sing in the front of each other. Is it going to make you a better singer? Definitely not! But I’m pretty sure you are going to enjoy the night out and maybe find some new friends, just as I did last year when I spent my New Years Eve in the Globe on my own and met a beautiful soul from Austria. She was there alone as well, and we just started to talk to each other and spent the rest of the night there together; her name is Nika. We are still in touch and chat sometimes. She lives in Prague and is such an amazing singer! When you hear her singing, you feel free and relaxed. As I said already, you should go there, and if you are as lucky as I was, you might find some new friends; if not for your whole life, then at least for one night you can enjoy some songs and drinks together. There’s no need to go there with a group of people, but if you do, don’t forget to make a reservation in advance.

No matter what, try karaoke night or another event in the Globe, because it’s a great place to go!
